Philosophy of the World

  • Comedy
  • Theatre

Philosophy of the World by The Shaggs went almost nowhere on release. Decades later it became a cult record, loved by musicians including Kurt Cobain and mocked by plenty of listeners who called it the worst album ever made.

UK theatre company In Bed With My Brother (Nora Alexander, Dora Lynn and Kat Cory) turn this story into a loud, sweaty show about who gets to decide whether you're a legend or a loser, and who owns the right to tell your story.

Philosophy of the World played sold-out seasons at Edinburgh Fringe 2025, where it won a Fringe First and the Fest and Skinny Magazine Bestie Award. The company's earlier shows include PRIME_TIME, which premiered at London's Barbican, and Tricky Second Album, winner of a Total Theatre Award.
