Melbourne Festival of Puppetry

Artists from across Australia present their work as part of the Melbourne Festival of Puppetry.

This year's festival has expanded across Naarm/City of Melbourne to include Arts Centre Melbourne, ACMI and the Motley Wherehaus as well as returning to their beloved La Mama and the community of Carlton.

With shows for adults and kids, workshops, masterclasses, free roving performances and street shows, there really is something for everyone.

The Puppet Picnic is a free community day on the lawns of the Carlton Highrise Estate featuring performances, roving puppets, workshops and an opportunity for all to connect, share and celebrate (Sat 26 Sept, 10am-2pm).

Partners and supporters include Creative Australia, Creative Victoria, City of Melbourne, The Betty Amsden Foundation, Creature Technology Company, La Mama Theatre, Lemony S Puppet Theatre, Arts Centre Melbourne, ACMI, Co.As.It, The Motely Wherehaus and UNIMA Australia.
