See the new exhibitions for June at KINGS Artist-Run.
Gallery One: Abecedarians by Daniel Pilkington, Mark Gowing, Aaron Perkins and Lani Knezevic
Alphabets are usually invented by graphic designers or typographers. Why would an artist want to create their own alphabet? Perhaps to write something that can only be written in this alphabet.
Gallery Two: Never Can Say Goodbye by E. Salmon
Never Can Say Goodbye brings together new and old drawings, prints, videos and installations. It deals with remembering, processing, twining and untangling (im)permanences.
Gallery Three: Dear Father Horse by Minh-An Pham
Minh-An Pham was born in the year of the horse, so was their father. When he was alive, he usually took them to the DVD store to buy animated DVDs. In 2023, their mum gave them his funeral DVD. It took them a while to build up the courage to play it – unfortunately, it didn’t work.
