International Day of Democracy: Beyond The Ballot Box

  • Talk
  • Learning

To celebrate International Day of Democracy and in the lead up to a Victorian State election, 888 Co-operative Causeway and Designing Open Democracy are pleased to host a Melbourne discussion on democracy beyond the ballot box.

In a time of malaise for our established model of political democracy, join a suite of panellists for a discussion of practices and institutions that can deepen democracy such as citizen's juries, deliberative technologies and new iterations of co-operative enterprise.

Nicholas Gruen is the first panel announcement, with more to come soon.

This is a unique opportunity to hear from and engage with democratic practitioners and thinkers across silos of public policy, technology and civil society movements. Stay on for a drink and the chance to network after the formal discussion.

Light catering is included with registration. Drinks and meals available at bar prices.
