Fondue Chalet

  • Entertainment
  • Events

Melbourne’s much-loved winter dining experience returns to Federation Square, transforming the city into a glowing French Alpine village.

For seven weeks, 18 private wooden chalets (for groups of 6 or 8 guests) create a cosy mountain escape, complete with fire pits, mulled wine, and the unmistakable aroma of melted Alpine cheese.

This year, guests can choose their ritual: fondue or raclette.

In the Alps, these dishes are about sharing – gathering around the table to enjoy simple, comforting food together. Each chalet experience begins with a welcome mulled wine, followed by a generous charcuterie board and your chosen centrepiece.

Fondue features a bubbling pot of melted cheese for dipping, while raclette is cheese melted and served over potatoes, pickles, and cured meats.

French wines, crackling fire pits, and a proudly French team complete this warm, authentic winter escape in the heart of Melbourne.
