Dhandha/Campfire

  • Free
  • Art

For as long as there has been fire, Mob have gathered around it. To dance, to connect, to perform ceremony, to fall in love, to gossip, to be alive together. Dhandha means a campfire in Wiradjuri language.

One of Australia's most celebrated choreographers, Joel Bray, is throwing down a gentle gauntlet. Come try something you'd normally avoid. Work that social muscle. Be silly in front of strangers. You will never be asked to do more than you're comfortable with, but you might surprise yourself.

Dhandha / Campfire is open all times of the day and into the night. You are invited to sit and reflect, listen to the soundscape, spend time with a friend or just soak up the atmosphere.

A sunset ritual is held daily. Please see the schedule for the timing of these, as they change with the sunset time. There is limited seating available, so arrive early.

Part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival.
