Bina Jean: Sacred Unfolding

Sacred Unfolding is a fabric installation that explores the continual transformation of life.

Inspired by Buddhist philosophy, this work reflects on how quiet moments of awareness reveal subtle shifts in thought and feeling, encouraging pause, notice, and dwelling in contemplative presence.

The installation consists of four digitally printed fabrics. The patterns originate from hand-painted ink gestures, repeated and mirrored to create symbolic, meditative forms that transform ephemeral marks into tactile presence. Two fabrics carry mirrored patterns that evoke a transcendent, ethereal quality, while the other two extend gracefully to the floor, their softly shifting forms suggesting movement, continuity, and the cycles of life.
