Afterglow

In the depth of Melbourne’s winter, Afterglow brings together work by over 50 artists exploring light, warmth, shadow, memory, and atmosphere.

Presented at Kindred Cameras, this group exhibition considers light as both a physical and emotional presence. Across a range of visual art forms, artists respond to glow, reflection, illumination, darkness, and the subtle traces that remain once light has faded.

Drawing on the feeling of winter nights, Afterglow transforms Kindred Cameras into a place of warmth and quiet illumination. The exhibition invites viewers to sit with moments of transition, memory, intimacy, and presence, and to consider what lingers after a moment has passed.
