A Patchwork of Hope: Shrine Free School Holiday Program
During the school holidays, visit the Shrine to explore 'Sparks in the Dark', an exhibition featuring intricate embroidery created by women in Afghanistan, then take part in a hands-on weaving activity in the Education Centre.
Inspired by the exhibition, children can use popsticks and colourful threads to create their own Patchwork of Hope, write a personal message of hope and reflect on a strength they have within themselves. They’ll have something meaningful to take home, too.
This event is free, but bookings are essential. Parents must be in attendance on the day.
