Oceans Apart is a collection of contemporary oil paintings capturing the recent wanderlust of artists Melissa Fraser and Susannah Bond.
Instead of their usual studio landscape, the duo decided to let the globe inspire their latest work, resulting in two distinct yet complementary collections.
Melissa travelled to Morocco. Her work evokes the rich, warm palette of Nth Africa, capturing everything from the bustling energy of ancient medinas to the serene, shifting sands of the Sahara. Susannah immersed herself in the majestic scale of California's national parks and the wild and historic landscape of the UK, capturing ancient giants and mystical water holes, monoliths and back to Australia to explore its rugged coastlines.
Separated by oceans but united by their shared passion for painting, they bring their travel diaries to life. Oceans Apart is an elegant, engaging celebration of friendship, fresh perspectives, and the beauty of exploring the world.
Opening Sunday 13 Sep from 2pm.
