Storytime with Vision Australia and Seeing Eye Dogs
Celebrate World Sight Day at State Library Victoria with a special Storytime presented by Vision Australia.
This interactive session introduces our youngest learners to the world of accessible literacy through engaging stories, songs and fingerplay. Families will discover tactile books, Braille books and Feelix storybook kits while exploring how stories can be enjoyed in many different ways.
The highlight of the session is a visit from Seeing Eye Dogs. Meet a future Seeing Eye Dog puppy, learn about the important role these remarkable dogs play in supporting people who are blind or have low vision, and enjoy a special puppy meet-and-greet.
Come along for a fun and inclusive Storytime that celebrates reading, accessibility and curiosity.
Perfect for children aged 3–5 years and their families. Please note: a parent or carer must attend this activity for the entire duration with their child/children.
