Sonic City: Barney McAll

Sonic City returns with an expanded city-wide program celebrating contemporary creative music across Melbourne's city centre.

As part of the Sonic City program, the Australian Art Orchestra presents pianist Barney McAll. McAll presents a solo performance shaped by his intangible instinct for both invention and transformation. Known for a boundary-crossing approach to jazz and composition, McAll moves fluidly between structure and spontaneity, creating music that challenges any attempt at categorisation.
