Recurring Echoes: Liliana Barbieri

  • Free
  • Art

Recurring Echoes is an exhibition celebrating 25 years of artistic practice by Liliana Di Lizio Barbieri. The exhibition has been extended to 17 October.

Bringing together painting, photography, installation and sculptural works, the exhibition explores how cultural memory is carried through everyday rituals, materials and acts of making. Drawing deeply from Italian Australian domestic life, Barbieri transforms humble objects such as pasta, textiles, timber and paper into poetic reflections on migration, resilience and belonging.

Liliana Di Lizio Barbieri is an Italian Australian artist based in Melbourne. Across more than 25 years of practice, her work has travelled between Australia, Italy, China, South Korea and New York.
