Passages: Songs and Stories from the Balkans and Beyond

Passages is a new episode in an ongoing collaboration of author and actor Goran Ðurić with Nela Trifković and the ensemble SARAY Iluminado.

This intimate, salon-style performance includes original and traditional music and original multi-lingual prose and poetry. It is infused by Bosnian Sevdalinka and Sephardic Jewish Romances, entwining them with Goran's original writing and Nela's new compositions.

Passages is a journey into the constant shedding of history and memory, and an ode to new beginnings built on that which was always there, yet emerges as open and new through ancestral creative exchanges in a new land.
