Monument Park

A sculpture park on NewQuay Promenade designed by Melbourne-based, internationally renowned artist Callum Morton.

Morton was inspired by the existing architectural forms scattered through Melbourne city. He scanned seven iconic statues and buildings, then rendered them with computer generated fabric, a 'concrete carpet', and peeled the carpet back to reveal bursts of the city's colour and landscaping, and recreated the new forms in glass and concrete.

Kids are welcome to climb and play on the interactive sculptures.

Located at the end of St Mangos Lane on Newquay Promenade in the Docklands.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
