Melbourne International Jazz Festival

  • Festival
  • Entertainment

Now in its 29th year, Melbourne International Jazz Festival (MIJF) is Australia’s largest festival of its kind – internationally recognised as one of the world’s great jazz festivals.

In 2026, expect to see Melbourne transformed into a city-wide celebration of jazz, improvisation and boundary-pushing contemporary music, with performances across concert halls, intimate bars and open-air stages.

More artists. More moments. More jazz to come.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.
