Matariki featuring Mokotron

Section 8 are hosting Matariki – a day-to-night celebration of Māori culture featuring a full Māori line-up, Māori kai (food), pop-up activities and Matariki star visuals.

Matariki is the Māori new year, marked by the rising of the Matariki star cluster. It’s a time for reflection, honouring loved ones, celebrating the present and looking to the future.

The program will feature a live performance by Mokotron (NZ), DJ sets from Aroha, Kahu, Atarangi and many more, plus a poi making workshop, a poi performance and a pūoro making workshop.

This event is supported by Pals and Teremana Tequila and entry is free.
