From the Wild West of Dalmatia to the high-stakes kitchens of Sydney, Kauboj is a riotous and heartfelt musical journey through the life of Jakov – a chef-slash-cowboy – whose adventures are as unpredictable as a misbehaving mechanical bull.

With original music woven from Balkan folk melodies with the charming twang of country western, Kauboj is a song-cycle that gallops between comedy, nostalgia and bittersweet ambition.

Performed by Mara Knezevic (The Hen House, Playlist), directed by Tasha O’Brien (Dangerous Liaisons, Hot Mess), co-written by Sime Knezevic (Various Characters, The Hen House) and accompaniment by Daniel Potaczala on electric guitar, this show blends stunning live music with wildly entertaining storytelling.
