Kaijern Koo and Natalie Trofimiuk: The Seasons Reversed

At first encounter, the two practices seem to come from different places. What connects them is a shared willingness to let interpretation remain unresolved.

Natalie Trofimiuk's bodies are never stable – they are structures waiting to be remade. Kaijern Koo's objects and images hold their meaning at a slight remove, attractive and elusive at once. Both practices are interested in the space between what something is and what it might be made to mean: the gap that opens up when a familiar system – the body, the domestic, the decorative – is subjected to a different kind of attention.
