More Life continues Joshua Davison's exploration of the relationship between humanity and the natural world through acrylic polymer sculptural paintings and palette knife oil paintings. The exhibition reflects on the fleeting nature of organic life and humanity's instinct to preserve it, transforming delicate botanical forms into enduring, sculptural objects that exist between painting and sculpture, realism and abstraction.
Flowers and foliage become symbols of impermanence, growth, and renewal. Through slow, process-driven construction, each work embeds time, labour, and permanence into its surface, challenging the transient lifespan of the natural forms that inspire it. By merging botanical elements with subtle figurative forms, the works speak to the shared vulnerability of people and nature, emphasising coexistence rather than dominance.
