In Her Footsteps: Women, Crime & Justice in Melbourne
In Her Footsteps: Women, Crime & Justice in Melbourne is a guided historical walking tour exploring the stories of women connected to some of Melbourne’s most haunting crimes and trials.
Beginning at Federation Square and concluding at the Old Melbourne Gaol, this experience uncovers the hidden histories that still linger beneath the city’s bluestone streets.
Presented by historian, author and Locked Up With History host Deb Robinson, the tour examines the lives of women who were victims, accused, condemned and remembered by history in very different ways.
Stories include the infamous Gun Alley Murder, the Sophia Lewis murder case, the Pyjama Girl mystery, Melbourne’s waxworks museum and the stories of the five women executed in Victoria.
Dark, atmospheric and deeply grounded in Melbourne’s history, In Her Footsteps offers a unique Melbourne Fringe experience for lovers of history, true crime and storytelling.
Because some footsteps never truly fade.
