Gunuwarra: Deep Winter Rooftop Gathering

  • Free
  • Music

Headlined by acclaimed DJ and artist Soju Gang with supporting sets from Fosters, DJ Kiti, Trey, Faf and Pvrtal, Gunuwarra brings together DJs, hosts, artists and community voices for a deep winter celebration of sound, culture and solidarity.

Hosted by 2Jooceee, Jay Wymarra and Chris Saunders, the event invites audiences to gather, listen, dance, donate and support during NAIDOC Week.

All proceeds will support the Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency, helping fund their work with Aboriginal children, young people, families and communities across Victoria.

Supported by City of Melbourne, the evening will also feature merchandise from Clothing The Gaps and a custom event menu by CDMX Tacos.

Named after Gunuwarra, the Swan and companion of Bunjil, this rooftop gathering is a celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander music, art, storytelling and community connection, set against the concrete backdrop of a Naarm winter.

RSVP essential.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
