George Gheorghe: After the Question

  • Free
  • Exhibition

Born in 1956 in Crevedia near Bucharest, Romania, Gheorghe is a painter and researcher whose practice combines technical mastery with philosophical inquiry.

His paintings emerge from reflections on society, memory and the unanswered questions of existence. Rather than offering direct narratives, Gheorghe creates symbolic and psychologically charged works that balance realism with abstraction.

His compositions avoid decorative aesthetics, instead focusing on emotional depth, atmosphere and timeless human experiences. Through layered imagery and universal symbolism, his work becomes a meditation on the human soul and the ongoing search for meaning.
