  • Activity

Discover, create and explore at Fitzroy Gardens.

Looking for a fun, screen-free adventure for the kids? Grab a map and set off on an exciting artistic treasure trail through the beautiful Fitzroy Gardens.

Young explorers follow clues and navigate their way around the gardens, stopping at special locations to complete creative, art-inspired activities along the way. From drawing and observation challenges to imaginative nature-based tasks, every stop brings a new opportunity to create, discover and have fun outdoors.

Perfect for curious minds and budding artists, this self-guided activity encourages creativity, problem-solving and exploration in one of Melbourne's most iconic green spaces.

Best of all, every child who completes the trail receives a special prize at the finish.

This activity is suitable for primary school-aged children, but adult assistance is necessary.

Price includes admission to Cooks' Cottage, and accompanying adults receive a reduced admission price.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
