Cell of Cthulhu

  • Nightlife
  • Entertainment

Operating from 1909 until 1994, the City Watch House served as Melbourne’s central custody centre, a stark holding place for those awaiting their court date.

Today, its authentic cells and imposing atmosphere provide the perfect setting for Cell of Cthulhu, where tension, imagination and storytelling combine to transport players into unsettling worlds. Each game unfolds inside a real holding cell, heightening the sense of immersion as your story develops.

Presented in partnership with Masters of Alchemy, Melbourne’s premier provider of theatrical tabletop role-playing experiences, this one-shot adventure is guided by a professional Game Master. Over three hours, players will unravel a complete, self-contained narrative – witnessing eerie worlds take shape and finding themselves drawn directly into the mystery.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
