Sports Precinct Walking Tour

  • Tour
  • Walking tour

Melbourne truly is the sporting capital of Australia. It is the only city to have six international standard sporting facilities within walking distance of the CBD, and hosts some of the world's best international events, including the Australian Open Tennis Championship and the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix. And that's before you even touch on our obsession with Australian Rules Football.

Take a walking tour through the sports precinct with a sports-mad tour host who will show you the sporting heartbeat of this great city.

As well as a comprehensive behind-the-scenes tour of the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground), you'll also take a look at the following sites:
- National Tennis Centre
- Melbourne Storm, Melbourne Victory and Melbourne Rebels headquarters
- AAMI Park
- Olympic Park
- Headquarters for AFL teams Richmond, Collingwood and Melbourne
- Melbourne Park (home of the Australian Open Tennis Championships)

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
