Special Features: Improvised Movie and Documentary

  • Comedy
  • Theatre

Special Features is a hilarious, completely unscripted cinematic experience developed for the stage.

Starting with a suggestion from the audience, the ensemble cast improvises a brand new movie on the spot, leaning into your favourite film genres and classic tropes.

But that’s only half the story… Once the movie ends, go behind the scenes with a fully improvised documentary exploring the movie’s legacy, featuring to-camera interviews with passionate fans, quirky cast members and a director on the mic to guide the madness.

If you’ve never seen improv before, this is the perfect first show - it looks and feels like your favourite films (and their DVD special features director’s commentary), just entirely made up on the fly.
