Lygon Court Shopping Centre

  • Entertainment
  • Landmark

Lygon Court consists of more than 28 specialty stores and cafes, including Cinema Nova and Brunetti. Other tenants include Alberto Piazza Shoes, Country Road, Silk Lane Boutique, and Woolworths.

There is also a health precinct on the first floor which includes two medical clinics.

The Holdsworth buildings that house Lygon Court are of historical significance and are protected under the Victorian Heritage Act. Built in 1871, they represent a fine example of mid-Victorian retail and residential development. The verandah, with its distinctive central bowed canopy, is a rare survivor of this type of architecture that was once very common in Melbourne.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.
