The Purpose Precinct is a first-of-its-kind marketplace that brings Victorian social enterprises together under multiple roofs. Located in the heart of Melbourne's iconic Queen Victoria Market, the Purpose Precinct showcases social enterprises that have goodness in their DNA – that only exist to do good for people and planet. The Purpose Precinct is also a space to nurture ideas, foster innovation, host events and give budding social entrepreneurs a space to kickstart their business.

Join this guided tour of the Purpose Precinct to learn about Victoria's thriving social enterprise sector, taste a snack from their Innovation Kitchen (that takes surplus market produce to create new products), before you explore a range of amazing products from more than 80 local social enterprises that collectively support a range of important environmental, social and cultural causes.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
