Sophie Cowell, Evan O'Connor and Eric An, are senior students at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School (VCASS). Together they form the Étoile Trio and have performed on Melbourne's 3MBS Fine Music broadcasts.
Mezzo-soprano Sophie is a member of Victorian Opera’s VOYCE program and is the youngest winner of the prestigious Freemasons Vocal Senior Championship Challenge. Baritone Evan is also a member of Victorian Opera’s VOYCE youth program, and performs with the VCASS Chamber Choir and Nocturnal Nine Ensemble. Alongside his vocal studies, Evan is an accomplished violist including selection for the prestigious Australian Youth Orchestra. Eric is a pianist whose sensitive musicianship has made him an ideal partner for singers and instrumentalists alike.
This recital features a selection of vocal solos, duets and chamber music from the Classical and Romantic repertoire including works by Brahms, Chopin, Handel, Bach, Donizetti, Gounod and Tchaikovsky.
