Austral Salon of Music September Recital

Kelsy De Prada and Rosa Hwang are a flute and piano duo that have been performing together for over a decade. They are looking forward to returning to Austral Salon, following recitals in 2021 and 2023.

Kelsy is a highly respected teacher who teaches flute, clarinet and saxophone at a number of different schools while balancing a busy performance schedule which includes solo recitals, chamber music performances appearances at the National and State Band Championships.

Rosa is a piano accompanist at Wesley College and Kilbreda College, working with their choirs and musical productions. In 2024, she started accompanying CHIME Choir Melbourne, who competed in the World Choir Games in New Zealand. Previously, she has also played piano for The Australian Ballet School, The Music Society of Victoria (Eastern branch) and the Australasian Orchestra.

Kelsy and Rosa will present a program for flute and piano duo, including works by Poulenc, Saint-Saëns, Ravel, Hüe, Debussy, Busser and Marais.
