A Family Gathering: Asian Heritage Week Exhibition

  • Free
  • Art

A Family Gathering is a group art exhibition presented by Platform Presents as part of Asian Heritage Week.

Bringing together artists of the Asian diaspora, the exhibition celebrates the diversity of creative practices across our communities. Works span painting, photography, sculpture, installation and more, presented in a salon-style hang that invites audiences to move through the space and discover connections between artists.

Rather than a fixed theme, the exhibition centres on gathering. It creates a space for artists to sit alongside one another and be seen together, reflecting the breadth of perspectives across Asian Australian artists.

Asian Heritage Week, led by Asian Hustle Network, is a growing moment for communities to come together, honour histories and amplify the voices of Asian diaspora creatives. While not yet formally recognised nationwide, it continues to build as an important cultural celebration.

Opening night on Sat 23 May is a ticketed event.
