Founded in 1931, the brand's namesake and founder, Jacob Bloch started the company after he met a ballerina in Sydney and promised he would craft her the most comfortable ballet pointe shoe in the world.

The outcome was so successful that he created a full range of dance products, which grew over time to make his brand an icon in the dance industry.
