Planting Party

  • Free
  • Music

Fed Square’s Skyline Car Park will be the pop-up site for a Planting Party during RESET: a free festival for greener living.

Think of it as the after party for the morning native tree planting, happening at multiple sites around Melbourne’s creeks and rivers.

Grab a coffee and a bite to eat at the food stalls, then enjoy the afternoon of celebration and community connection.

Hosted by ABC presenter, dirtgirl, the line-up of live music includes Robert K Champion and Allara, The Orbweavers and Ella Thompson – Chamber Soul Trio, alongside music for plants from Earworthy DJs.

Join in a propagation workshop with Bili Nursery, take part in weaving workshops with artist Emma Stenhouse and send a postcard to your local MP with Paradoxa Collective.

Listen to talks with gardeners, writers and community volunteers from Landcare, and connect with community groups and environmentalists.

Don't miss the plant sales with Bili Nursery, to pick up local plants to take home.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.
