Jazz Re:freshed Presents: Amy Gadiaga and DoomCannon

  • Entertainment

Champions of the UK's cutting-edge jazz scene, Jazz re:freshed return with a double bill featuring Amy Gadiaga and DoomCannon.

Founded to spotlight underrepresented young artists, Jazz re:freshed has scouted the biggest names in UK jazz including Shabaka Hutchings, Yussef Dayes and Nubya Garcia, expanding to international stages.

UK-based Parisian bassist, vocalist and composer Amy Gadiaga kicks off the night, combining bass playing and a voice brimming with power. Bridging the jazz tradition of Betty Carter with the sound of D'Angelo and Stevie Wonder, Gadiaga has found critical acclaim.

Joining her is DoomCannon: composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Dominic Canning. The South London native has shared stages with Celeste and graced platforms from the BRIT Awards to Later…with Jools Holland. His debut Renaissance earned critical acclaim. With Somewhere In Between, DoomCannon explores personal growth.

DJs from the Jazz re:freshed collective round out the night.
