Festival of Filipino-Australian Youth Creativity and Culture

  • Free
  • Talk

Celebrate culture, creativity, and the Filipino-Australian community. Enjoy four compelling short film screenings and a panel with Filipino-Australian filmmakers, mini product exhibits featuring works by Filipino-Australian entrepeneurs, fireside chats on creativity, identity and entrepeneurship, plus open mic and live performances.

This event is for students, young people, emerging artists, and allies from multicultural backgrounds looking to connect, reflect, and celebrate Filipino-Australian heritage in modern Australia.

Free and open to all. Come for the stories, stay for the community.

Film showing will be inside the Library at the Dock performance space, while the exhibit and the fireside chats will be at the Community Hub at the Dock, the building just beside the Library.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
