Ciné Club: Leurs Enfants Après Eux

The second edition of the Alliance Française Melbourne Festival Ciné Club, is a screening of Leurs Enfants Après Eux (2024), based on the 2018 Prix Goncourt-winning novel of the same name by Nicolas Mathieu.

It's a coming-of-age story following three teenagers across four summers in a small deindustrialized town in the northeast of France between 1992 and 1999.

Afterwards stay for a discussion on the film by Bertrand Bourgeois, Associate Professor in French Cinema Studies at the University of Melbourne, a passionate cinéphile and collaborator on the Alliance Française French Film Festival.

Your ticket includes a glass of French wine, or a non-alcoholic option, and light refreshments.

The film is subtitled in English and is strictly for an 18+ audience.
