Join an Italian cinema forum with Dr Mark Nicholls.

Cavani is one of Italy’s most distinguished film and TV directors. The Order of Time is her return to cinema, at 90. Based on an essay by physicist C. Rovelli, it captures the lives of a group of friends who gather in a charming villa, only to learn that a meteor is fast approaching and may, or may not, end life on earth as they know it.

Clips will be shown as a basis for group discussion.

Dr Mark Nicholls is Senior Lecturer in Cinema Studies at the University of Melbourne. He has worked as a film journalist for ABC Radio and The Age, and has over twenty stage credits as a playwright, performer, producer, and director.
