Mindful Movement and Poetry with Collective Being

  • Free
  • Talk

With various options (including chair-based practice), Collective Being facilitators offer a range of mindfulness and movement practices that can be integrated across daily life to support more spaciousness, reduce feelings of overwhelm, stress and anxiety and restore a sense of flow within the body. Drawing inspiration from the library, facilitators will also integrate poetry into the session.

Collective Being is a not-for-profit organisation founded on the principles of trauma-sensitive care and mindfulness that delivers high quality and impactful body-based programs for mental health across the Kulin nation.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
