Nocturnal Worlds Listening Zone

  • Free
  • Family and kids

Take a moment to stop, rest and RESET, as you listen to the sounds of nature. The Atrium will be set up as a relaxing chill zone, for you to take some time out to listen to one of four Nocturnal Worlds soundscapes – produced by Audiocraft in collaboration with the Australian Museum.

Download your episode of choice to your own device, sink into a beanbag and enter the mysterious night-time habitat of the powerful owl, long-finned eel, mountain pygmy possum or the green sea turtle.

Nocturnal Worlds invites you to slow down, listen deeply, and reconnect with Australia’s unique nocturnal ecosystems.

Presented by Fed Square with Australian Museum and Audiocraft, as part of RESET – a free festival for greener living.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.
