Mini Beast Disco

  • Free
  • Family and kids

Legendary performance artists Betty Grumble and Dandrogyny lead a workshop and performance experience in the Test Garden for kids and their grown-ups, encouraging empathy, curiousity, and wonder about the natural world.

Proudly queer performance artists Dandrogyny and Betty Grumble, along with their critter collective, DJ Hip Hop Hero, Stone Motherless Cold and Fast Fashun, invite you into their world of wonder-full play.

Part-performance, part-workshop, Mini Beast Disco squirms and worms into orbit, inviting kids and their grown-ups to reframe ideas of ‘us’ and ‘community’ to include the entire natural world.
The show encourages empathy, curiosity and a sense of awe, always. Beetle on down for this hopeful offering and celebration of togetherness and aliveness.

Recommended for kids aged five to nine and their family hordes – be sure to wear your best green outfits.

Presented by Fed Square as part of RESET – a free festival for greener living.

Free, but registrations required.

We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.
