Growing up in Perth, Petal Ashmole Winstanley was taught by West Australian Ballet founder, Madame Kira Bousloff OAM, who become a figure of inspiration throughout her career. Petal's natural talent and ambition led her to London in the swinging 1960s, launching a vibrant career on the international stage filled with glamour, travel, and the challenges of life as a professional dancer.

Although her story is a lifetime of creative fulfilment, it has been tinged by grief and profound personal losses. A celebration of artistic passion, resilience, and the enduring power of dance to sustain and transform a life, Petal's story in her book Get Up, Dress Up, Show Up, will leave any reader both inspired and enriched.
