Join in this interactive workshop to explore the queer South Asian experience.
Open to allies, this workshop explores the unique challenges of living in a multicultural Western society. It discusses topics including racism, internalised homophobia, religion and culture, coming out, and identity conflicts in safe space. Through guided discussions and self-reflection, this workshop aims to build self-esteem, self-acceptance, and stronger relationships with ourselves, and others.
The workshop facilitator Saquib Ahmad is a queer South Asian psychotherapist with 15+ years of experience in trauma, identity conflicts, and self-esteem for queer BIPOC individuals, and is the founder of Fighting Fear.
