A Hereford Beefstouw

  • Restaurant
  • Fine dining

Melbourne’s urban heartland is also home to a Danish steakhouse - A Hereford Beefstouw, in Duckboard Place. Nestled amid cobblestones and street art, A Hereford Beefstouw offers a menu celebrating high quality steak (some dry aged up to an eye-watering 100 days) in a sleek Danish designed setting.

Tim Burvill, with his Denmark based partner Lars Damgaard, have completely reinvented a tired inner city former office space into a bustling steakhouse. Tim and Lars already own one A Hereford Beefstouw restaurant together in Adelaide, which has built a gold star reputation over the past eight years for serving high quality steak. Lars also owns another fourteen A Hereford Beefstouw restaurants across Denmark and Scandinavia, with the first established forty-five years ago near Herning in Denmark.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
