RISING: Last and First Men

  • Film
  • Dance

Set in a distant future where humanity faces extinction, Last and First Men resonates powerfully with conversations happening right now about environmental responsibility and the need for global cooperation, asking audiences to reflect on our place in history – and our duty to those who will come after us.

Original music and film by the late Icelandic composer Johann Jóhannsson, combined with haunting narration by Hollywood legend Tilda Swinton, add to striking costume design and some of the most cutting-edge contemporary dance you'll see this year.
