Visionary British choreographer Botis Seva creates a kind of hip-hop exorcism. A heaving fight through the smog of youth and disillusion, out to where the light peaks through.

Backed a pounding score from Seva’s long-time collaborator Torben Lars, a drilled squadron of seven dancers take to the stage in hooded caps. They plunge us into a unyielding, hallucinatory tale. A writhing world of gun violence, abuse and dead-eyed titillation.

This is dance as raw autobiography – a storm of limbs, precise and unruly solos. Hip-hop fluidity jacked with theatrical drive that doggedly drills into questions: how does self-discovery lead to self-destruction? How can the young survive a world not built for them?
