Power Move: Prance Battles

  • Free
  • Music

It’s time for Prance Battles, hosted by Melbourne Fringe Festival's finest. This is a dance-off like no other: think glitter, attitude, and full-throttle choreography set to iconic pop bangers.

Inspired by the power of friendship, fierceness, and flash mobs, they're calling all dancefloor divas, boy band wannabes, and closet popstars to strut, spin, and prance for glory. No technique? No worries. This is all about heart, style, and outrageous commitment.

Cheer, dance, or join the battle – the prance revolution will be televised (and probably covered in sequins). You don’t need a stage name, but you’ll want one.

Power Move at Fed Square is not your average boogie. It’s a sprawling, technicolour playground where every shimmy, stomp, and spin pumps clean, green energy straight into the party’s heart. This interactive kinetic dancefloor is an open invite and a challenge to the people of Melbourne. Can Melbourne dance hard enough to power the whole thing off-grid?

Let’s move Melbourne.
