Located on bustling Errol Street, the North Melbourne Library is a vibrant community space and one of the longest established libraries in Victoria.
It offers traditional and digital catalogues, music and film collections on CD and DVD, and hosts regular events including book clubs and kids story time sessions.
The library was built in 1882 and opened in 1884 as a mechanics institute and library. Since 1905 it has provided a free public lending service.
