Unleash your creativity in Melbourne Museum's digital art class. Each month offers a fresh theme, from ancient fossils and dazzling minerals to delicate feathers, vibrant insects, and even fashion inspired by the museum’s extraordinary collection.

This month, step into the world of avian artistry as Melbourne Museum’s digital art class brings you face-to-face with the breathtaking specimens from the ornithology scientific collection. Guided by Dr Katie Date, delve into the intricate details of local bird species – each with a story to tell.

Using iPad Pros in the museum’s Learning Lab, participants of all skill levels will capture the essence of birds through digital drawing. Expert instructors will guide you in recreating delicate feather textures, vibrant colours, and striking beak details.

This immersive experience blends art, nature and technology, offering a unique opportunity to refine your digital skills while deepening your appreciation for scientific observation.
