Chinese Scent Workshop

This sensory workshop uses scent to guide meditation and self-connection. Rooted in Chinese incense culture, it blends fragrance with mindful presence.

The session opens with a smouldering incense demo – including xingxiang (walking incense) and the ritual of passing the censer – linking breath to awareness.

Participants then explore smoke-free incense, using abdominal breathing to detect subtle notes while hearing stories of incense history and meaning. The experience ends with making an aromatic pouch, fusing Yin-Yang and Five Elements theory with Eastern and Western scent traditions.
