Boite Voices: Maiem - Songs of the Torres Strait Islands

In an unforgettable exploration of culture through voice, Torres Strait Islands Artistic Directors Deb Lowah Clark and Luke Captain, along with Choir Director Stella Savy, will lead a powerful ensemble of 180 singers. Together, they will bring to life the rich musical traditions of Zenadth Kes, the Torres Strait Islands in a stunning blend of songs performed in English, Meriam Mir and Kala Lagaw Ya.

This once-in-a-lifetime experience promises to move audiences. The legendary Christine Anu will grace the stage as a special guest performer singing new songs and crowd favourites, amplifying the power and beauty of this First Nations-led project exclusively at the Melbourne Recital Centre.
